Your Home
What you need to know
The size of your kitchen is important as the mentor needs room to demonstrate and there should be enough space to comfortably fit five people. We suggest that minimum size should be no less than about 5m square (and galley kitchens are not suitable, due to the nature of the event). To get the most out of the session, you should have about 1½ meters of surface area for preparation. There should also be enough clear area for people to move around.
You may be able to enjoy the experience more if you have a specific dining area where you can host your dinner party at the end of the session - although this is not essential, and you might prefer to eat in a more relaxed setting.
Equipment & store cupboard ingredients
As we don't bring any equipment, other than traditional Indian equipment where necessary, you will be asked to provide basic cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery. We will advise when you make your booking.
And apart from the ingredients we'll provide, you'll need to have certain store cupboard ingredients, such as salt and cooking oil. Again, we'll go through this with you when you book.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch, we can tell you more about the experience, prices or send you details about the dishes you'll be cooking.
